We work through downtown revitalizations, adaptive reuse projects and re-zonings to establish new purposes, uses and goals for underutilized spaces that unlock the true potential and value of underutilized spaces.

We act as an ideation partner through design, establishing a creative process to bring any urban revitalization or destination plan to life.

We design places with flexibility in mind. Modular and relocatable amenities allow us to design with this adaptability in our approaches.

We specialize in modular building development and amenities which may be semi-permanent, relocatable and re-useable through the use of our experience in modular building development. We also have proprietary products that allow us to rapidly transform a place with semi-permanence in mind.

We custom-build each of our projects tailored to the needs of the location and constraints of the project’s scope, budget, timeline and planned uses.

As place builders, we collaborate from the ground up. Considering our complex urban environments we strive to build inclusive urban spaces for all. Places that bring to life new opportunities for people to realize their potential within destinations, neighbourhoods and communities.

Our process begins by auditing the goals for the place and who the place will primarily serve. We then imagine how we can create the most enjoyable experiences possible in that setting.

Hawkers was founded on the vision of introducing more playfulness to our urban environments, imagining how vendors could “Hawk” on streets, in turn providing experiences and opportunities for small businesses to develop and get their start.

We strive to bring a sense of happiness and joy to the places we build. Those experiences most often come to life through places to drink, dine and shop. We love bringing an unexpectedly wonderful experience to a place that can surprise and delights its guests.

Play is a spirit we embody in our work and one we reflect back into the built environment in our projects.

A place without people and programming is a void space. To develop a truly memorable destination, people are the heart and soul of any alluring place.

Our great joy is to provide opportunities for people to collaborate and share their dreams and talents in destinations. We program places with vendors, content and services that ensure the destination’s ongoing success stays solidified.
