In 2021, Hawkers collaborated with “The Blox” and Beltline Business Improvement Area (BIA) to spearhead a transformative project in Calgary's Beltline district.

The initiative aimed to plan, design, and construct a series of outdoor street patio spaces for five distinct restaurants within the Calgary Beltline. The result was the creation of custom-designed Box Parklets tailored to the unique characteristics and identity of each restaurant involved in the project.

Collaborative Planning: The project started with a collaborative planning phase, bringing together Hawkers, The Blox, and the Beltline BIA to design and conceptualize the outdoor street patio spaces strategically.

Customization for Restaurants: Each temporary patio was customized to align with the five participating restaurants' individual branding, aesthetic, and atmosphere. The goal was to provide each establishment with a tailored and distinctive outdoor dining experience.
